You should base your questions on this information. It is always good to start with some questions about the person, and how they got into this profession.

The main part of your interview is about what decisions people have to make about claims of truth. How do they make these decisions? What sort of evidence counts? They may be able to give you a story of a particular case or incident.

In this case it might be important to ask whether they can ever get to absolute truth, or whether a balance of evidence is enough to find a solution. What is important here is to see how he judges the reliability of evidence. Is some evidence more reliable than other evidence. Are some people more reliable than others

Kevin describes his career below
I joined the Hong Kong Police Force in 1977 as an Inspector and retired in 2007 as a Senior Superintendent, after 30 years service. Whilst I have held a variety of posts in the Force at different ranks, most of my experience has been working in criminal investigation as a detective.

I have investigated every sort of crime including murders, robberies, burglaries, drug offences as well as smuggling between Hong Kong and China.
